Well, this is not going to be a very long sitting and that's okay, so long as I harvest it past the first two rows, then double each quarter thereafter.
If I can do that, then I'll actually have the kind of day that I need because I won't be millionizing my year without more days in the three fields a day class.
But just because it's not going to be a long quarter doesn't mean that it can't be chock full of the good storying.
Who else was most like man with their wit and able building than an elf? This should be good.
“Come with me human if you want to live.” He said as he beckoned me to follow him, which he said with a sense of urgency that I didn't understand because had we not travelled far from them and therefore had all the time that we needed?
“The problem remains the same, I'm too broken up to be able to be moving fast and without pain. So can you heal me? Please.” I said, hoping that it didn't sound weak and pathetic.
It might be something of a challenge to harvest four rows before the end of the quarter seeing as it's well past the bottom of the hour and I am distracted because my desktop determined that I should be at the place of chatting that I ain't been to in months certainly.
As for the extra that I managed to pick up in the first quarter, I still need to chunder out 324 words to be where I wanted to be after the first two quarters, which wasn't that far along the way and really requires me to write hard in the 3rd and 4th quarters so that's not good at all.
So I should get on with the action in Paraveedun since I have no time.
But first, I need to se what my poet's doing. And yes, I just realized I can't remember his name.
He shook his head and sighed, making a gesture as he did so before saying a most sing-songy phrase of something like Latin, but clearly not because why would a Parveedun Elf know Latin? Whatever he said though, had the instant effect of making me feel like I was young again. “Now Joseph Perris, if you would follow me, there's only so much time that even our magics can withstand the efforts of two ordinary dragons. These are the dragons of thunder and lightning two of the most powerful dragons of all. I've made sure that you won't be dawdling again.” He said, taking a dig at me for being human and unable to shrug off a painful tumble like it was nothing.
“Well, I'll try not to disappoint you your lordship.” I said, caught up in an annoyance with him for his dig at me when I couldn't be blamed for being who I was on his world of magic and dragons.
Well, that was a nice little burst of writing and while I didn't wrte the 400 words I was hoping to wriite until the end of the quarter, I still wrote them.
Though this is when the challenge begins because the next doubling is 800 and that's a far cry from 400.
So I best have at it.
Kuuanonnii ghosts and subscribers.
I am not going to write 800 words this quarter which is especially bad when based on the double each quarter, I had to write 1600 words in the 4th.
Yes, I did pick up 112 words, but for that to be the equalizer, I would have had to harvest 7 rows and starting at the bottom pf the final hour is not going to allow for that.
Ugh.
And the Habs are playing tonight when I am feeling nervous about how the game will play out even though the Habs dominated the Flyers to the tune of 5-0, but can they dominate again?
I mean they can, but I'm not feeling confident.
Clearly I haven't earned any Pizza for this Sunday and should be happy that I have beans to have tonight instead of bread and water, which is what I deserve based on the Montreal Millionist effort, which is definitely lacking in the 3rd because I waited as long as I did to begin writing, when I was ready to write before then but chose to tend to records instead of writing.
Double ugh!
And now I only have time for a return to Paraveedun.
“Impudence now Joseph Perris when you'd be dead if not for my coming to your aid after you brought this about with your recklessness?“ He said, terribly disappointed in me and not at all happy to have been pressed into service this day.
And he wasn't wrong was he? I'd forced this eventuality by being an idiot.
I am not going to harvest 21 rows in the time that I have remaining, even with said time being more than two hours long if I take all it or just that two hours and end the day with drawing.
I'm just not feeling it of late and if this continues, the mission to defend my own title of Montreal Millionist will fail and I haven't thought that it could go like that, succeeding one year and failing the next.
But that is what will happen if I don't get back to it and start harvesting three or more fields a day while the need remains under 28.
And banging out 2, 4, 8 and 16 rows is doable, though leaning too far on the backs of the last two quarters than the first two is hardly fair to the last two now is it?
It also leaves me too open for failure as I should be able to harvest more than two or three rows in the first. Five or six is more fair, likewise with the second that at least gets me to a thousand at morning's end w
It also leaves me too open for failure as I should be able to harvest more than two or three rows in the first. Five or six is more fair, likewise with the second that at least gets me to a thousand at morning's end which leaves two thousand words to be written over two quarters instead of the one that I had to do tonight because I faltered in the 3rd.
But even 1600 is a tall order ask and more than I am going to write tonight.
At best I'm going to harvest a field, even though at the top of the next hour, I'm going to have two hours of writing time if I take it all.
Will I take it all?
I have drawn enough already and need the writing time since aim number one is the writing of a million words and I've been falling down on that end since the 8th and this month is definitely in the running for least written month by some terrible margin.
Okay, not by any margin if I straighten up and fly right because the first week of August was normal and the second, though very bad, was only a few hundred off the pace.
It is this week and the next where the the goodness of August stands against the goodness of February, which is the current holder of least month of the year.
Though anything short of 80,000 words is going to hurt me and make September, October, November and December that much harder.
Oh bother indeed.
At least this quarter is going to win the day and I've a feeling I won't have to hamstring the 3rd on any days this week like I did last week to ensure that the 4th continues to be the best quarter of each week, for as long as I can maange it which should be long past the COVIYEAR.
It's a good thing that I had no wish to go out tonight, because I'd not have much time to enjoy it and it wouldI come to know the score of Game 3 between the Phildalphia Flyers and the Montreal Canadiens.
And the reason I do not know said score is I knocked out after supper, when I should have been writing so that I could watch the game live as I did on Friday when the result was better than I could have hoped for.
Yes, bad feelings aside, the better it would have been to watch the game live.
Aye, one dominant win versus a tight loss does not a series make.
But where there is a game like Game Two, there is hope for a series being one by the Canadiens.
Go Habs go.
And while I could have even started watching the game late from the time that I returned from travelling through the future and caught up to the game in the 2nd or surely 3rd period, I didn't do that.
I just have to avoid checking in anywhere where the score might be spoiled, for good or bad.
Hopefully good, but the Flyers are a good team and the recent history has favoured them as well as they've won the last two series played, both in five games, in 2008 and 2010 when they last went to the Stanley Cup Finals after storming back on the Bruins from an 0-3 deficit.
A series coughed up that the Bruins no doubt used as fodder when they went out and won the Cup the following yeart.
Ugh.
They won it after beating the Habs in the last round.
How many times since 2000 have the Habs lost to the eventual Stanley Cup winner? Twice off the top of my head.
And that doesn't include the 2011 Bruins.
Oh bother.
The Canadiens have lost to the eventual Cup winners in the 21st Century, in 2004, 2006 and 2011 and the Finalists in
2002, 2010, 2014 and 2015.
And 2014 and 2016 were impacted by injuries to Carey Price with a greater impact in 2015-2016 as two injuries to Carey stopped the Habs from even winning enough games to make it to the playoffs. But he'd been playing so well in the early going that barring his injury they would have made the playoffs.
Though he would've cooled down right after he backstopped the Canadiens to a 10-2 record in his games.
Oh bother, what could have been! And in 2014, his injury in the Conference Finals against the Rangers gave that series to them without a shadow of a doubt.
Dammit.
So, as it already is the most harvested quarter and by quite the margin, this quarter will also be the one that takes me past the two harvesting of two fields with a chance, albeit remote as of the time that I look to my phone and see that it is the bottom of the second to last hour on a night when the game between the Habs and the Flyers is at least nearing its end and though I am not feeling the same sense of woe, what does that mean?
I could be feeling completely good about the Habs' chances this season and start watching the game and see that the Flyers scored two quick ones in the first five minutes and never looked back as they retook the series lead with a 3-1 win.
Just as I could feel terrible about the game and watch it as the Flyers took a 2-0 lead i the first only to see the Habs storm back to tie it in 17 seconds in the second before taking the lead with a go ahead goals 13 seconds into the third and icing the game with an empty netter at 19:46.
So I have no idea if they have played well or poorly which means I won't be tuning into the game tonight because at this point to do that would take me away from the writing when I am rolling along and closing in on the harvesting of three fields, even though I'm surely going to come up shoor by some hundreds of words. Or 4 rows.
Can I harvest 9 more rows tonight? That's what I need to do before the end of the night to once more have ended a day with the harvesting of three fields, which is something that I haven't done since the 5th when I actually harvest four fields.
That's too long between harvestings when I am starting to fall back on the pace that I need and have only written 624,639 words this years, as of the start of the 4th, where I've been kicking ass and taking names.
Yeah you can read the word ass without saying oh noes, won't someone think of the children.
Not that you would right ladies? If you have children they aren't reading any of my writing are they? I would think not.
And yes, I can say only 624,639 words entering this final quarter of the day because last year I wrote 1,025,805 words so I'm talking millions like it's normal.
I shouldn't be taking the million word years for granted ever, because it doesn't take much to throw it off as last year was almost not the first year of my run of years of a million words a year because I didn't write in earnest until May as the first three months were certainly lesser months to be sure, with the fourth being better but not enough to get me to the promised land.
That took May to the middle of December as I Millionized the year before Christmas and could write any amount that I wanted to.
And that was a very good thing.
Right now, I am sliding back and am going to need four hard months, including December.
Though with the Virus that is, I might be celebrating Christmas alone anyway. Just me, myself and I.
And if that's the case, I'll be writing hard until the final day of the year.
At least until 9:00 at night.
But there's a long way to go until then not counting the 4th quarter, I need to harvest 288 rows a day for the rest of the year to get to the point that I have determined is my aim. A goal that is safely past the million word mark.
With the 4th quarter until now?
I still have to harvest 28 rows a day or the rest of the year but I see the harvestg of three fields as being a goal that I should score.
Hopefully the Canadiens score enough goals tonight and didn't need no overtime to win.
I'll know tomorrow what happened tonight because I have more than an hour to harvest less than five rows and I haven't even gone back to Paraveedun which is good enough for a row at least.
Yes, tuning into the Habs would be good enough for four rows and if they played this game as they played Friday's and got similar results, I'd have a good idea by the end of the period to know how they did.
Ugh, how many times are the two sticks representing hockey going to flash on the screen of my phone?
It was an overtime game? Or is that for another game?
C'mon Habs, you followed up Friday's game with a win tonight so I don't have to grit my teeth when Leafs' fans bring up the Habs being down two games to one.
Though the Leaf's fans would be conveniently ignoring the fact that they lost to the lower seeded Blue Jackets in the play-in round while the Habs beat the higher ranked Penguins who still had the core of their teams that won back to Stanley Cups in 2016 and 2017.
I am going to harvest three fields tonight, come hell or high water. And that would have to some high water to reach the third floor.
Damn Fish, which is part of my twitter handle, that being October_Fish, I earned the Pizza in the 4th, even after I travelled through time and missed the beginning of Game Three.
I am here, on the cusp of harvesting the third field of the day.
I should turn my attentions to the Kindness story and jospeh perris not enjoying his time in Paraveedun.
So being an ass was the last thing I should have been. Who knew what danger he'd put himself in by coming to help me. “I'm sorry. Thank you for what you did for me Sir Elf, I'm sure that I can keep up with you now.” I said, though surely his names wasn't Sir Elf, because that would be stupid.
“My name is Gahldruth. Now let us turn to the doing that we need to be doing before the dragons pierce the shield and have us both at their mercy for I cannot away myself and leave you to be devoured. So please, no more foolishness please.” He said said, like he was pleading with me for me to save my own life. Surley it couldn't be that bad could it?
Oh bother! There's no need to watch the game bwteen the Flyers and the Canadiens now that I discovered the score by accident.
And no, it wasn't a happy one as the Flyers won by a score of 1-0. Dammit! The Habs have outscored the Flyers 6-3 and only won one game.
Granted, five of those goals came in that one win, to date, it is good that the Habs haven't been blowed out like the Flyers were.
But they still have the two games to one advantage and are halfway to the second round.
Momentum is with the Flyers.
The Habs better bring their Game 2 performance back eh?
Or was it about a lack of results and they were fulll meausre but Carter Hart, the young Flyers' goalie was simply better?
Either way, the Flyers are happy with their situation and the Habs are not.
Yeah, I feel like swearing.
Ugh.
Go Habs go!
You are capable of winning a series against the Flyers.
And you're certainly capable of winning more than a game, even though I came into this series admitting that even a 4 game sweep by the Flyers would still provide valuable experience for them, which it will.
But they are here now so let's win a round, not just a game, but a round, especiallly since if the Flyers win, this would be their third straight series win over the Habs!
Ugh!
Kuuanonnii. Sadly.
