Kuanonnii ghosts and subscribers and so far, the ghosts outnumber the subscribers by several hundred. So either the ghosts really what I'm doing with my site, or there's many deserving of punishmnent.

I haven't figured out which.

But the longer my subscription remains so exclusive, the answer's pretty clear.

The ghosts are getting punished.

A pity shame I couldn't count 747 ghosts as subscribers because that would put me a lot closer to a thousand than it seems like I will be for years(?) to come.

Don't let it be a decade like with Twitter. Though if it did go that way, I'd be looking at a goodly number at the end of that ten years, heading into the eleventh because I went form 47 followers, as memory serves, to over 5000.

And I currently have 5400 followers.

Of course that kind of rapid rise in shall we say membership is a lot easier with a massive site like twitter.

I might not even have ten subscribers at the end of the year.

Sigh.

Then again I could go from my current number to a thousand in a good month.

But that seems completely unlikely at the moment, though admittedly, right now, I ain't feeling no swagger or joy as things are whatever with whatever.

What, you expect more details?

Nuh uh uh.

Not today.

That's stuff that I would consider beyond the scope of your permission to know.

I'm not going to write about everything.

I might have been better off going to bed. But the call to writing, which may or not contain any storying was too strong to be resisted.

So here I am, thinking maybe Byron Prestwick will be coming back.

Then again, he may not. My investment in the life of Byron Prestwick, a poet who instaports to a station in space god knows how far from the Earth the moment he writes a single verse of poetry.

And that is one heck of a gift, no matter what you think of poetry, who wouldn't want that kind of power?

Okay, there are quite a few who would pass on that.

Especially since it involves poetry.

All this time to write this quarter and I've written how little? This is not good.

Especially when the Canadiens are playing in the afternoon on a day when if they lose, the likelihood of them winning the series, which they were legitimately not favoured to win, becomes nigh impossible.

So go Habs go!

Let's not have this be the third straight series between these two teams that ends with them winning 4 games to 1. 3-12 against one team in the playoffs? That's the rarity of such a doing.

Though I can't guarantee that with any amount of certainty.

However it's rather certain that this is going to be a long day.

And not the good kind of long either. Oh bother.

I don't care if that gives it away, I gotted a new subscriber and that's worth the spoiling.

Now I didn't ask her what she wanted to be to called in her shout out so I'll call her Lo.

Lik yo, but with an l.

And she just made this place one subscriber less from an exclusivity that is too much.

I want this to be a place where everyone comes, even if they don't venture too deep, just their being here to look at the drawings, even if it's to say I can do better than that, which I ma more than happy to provide a place for if they.

Yes, dear future subscribers, of which I hope number in the thousands because three subscribers is...

But for the three bold subscribers, thank you, thank you and thank you.

Maybe I can build my subscriber base to ten by the end of the year. Yeah, that would be nice.

Somewhere, in the future, an English teacher happened to read this bit of Today's Fish and grit their teeth as they read gotted, good and grit.

I should be so lucky.

At this point the subscriber numbers are so low I can ask them all what their job or profession is and see where I'm getting my subscribers from.

Though you never what quartion will be considered too invasive or personal.

We are humans after all.

So welcome to the fold Lo, I hope that this was an agreeable shoutout.

You know where to find me if it wasn't to your liking.

Cheers to you and the two other bold supporters of my little website.

Meanwhile, in Montreal, I wait with a sense of dread for Game 4 between the Flyers and the Canadiens after the Canadiens found themselves down two games to one when they could have been up two games to one.

But not up three games to none, they weren't going to win that first game, but after their dominating 5-0 win in game two for them to lose game three in a 1-0 shutout is the suck.

And their last two series against the Flyers have gone the wrong way and lasted five games.

I've mentioned this before of course, but you haven't necessarily read those other writings.

Or this one here.

But first things first eh, having a broader subcriber base would sure make me feel better.

And if it could happen this month, that would be doubly cool.

The Canadiens are not going to lose three straight by a score of 1-0 so that they outscore the Flyers 6-5 but lose the series.

That is not going to happen!

So don't imagine that scenario!

I cussed repeatedly.

You can guess what the word was and you'd have a good chance at being right.

The Flyers scored. It's only 1-0 but based on the last game, tyat could be enough for the Flyers.

Though they just got a power play and I cussed again.

I was really peeved by the end of the first period, even though it's only a 0-1 game in favour of the Flyers.

I've come back to this period with some hope but they're still down and the Flyers might be trying to replicate what they did in the last game after they also scored the only goal of the game in the first period, just a little later today.

No, the Habs are not going to outscore the Flyers 6-5 and lose in five!

Stop thinking that!

Well, I just swore again.

It's 2-0 in the second period.

It's 2-0 in the third and yest I don't feel woe or anger, even though the Habs aren't buzzing around dangerously and might well be done for the game and the series if you believe the naysayers.

Great, the naysayers were right today.

Does that make them happy? Probably! “We were right. They should have lost to Pittsburgh!”

But the Habs aren't doing anything to prove the naysayers wrong.

Menawhile, I ain't done near enough myself to be winning my way to my own championship of a million words.

If this continues, I'm going to lose out on defending my title when I didn't have a start to the year that demanded the great push that lasted from May to December.

Oh bother.

It would doubly suck if the Habs were bounced in the first round in August and I couldn't make it to the first round of my playoffs which begin at 800,000 words.

Though I will surely make those because I've stormed past 600,000 words so that will happen, it's just a question of when.

If it happens in December I'm done.

I'm back from travelling through time and when I left, I the Islanders were in control of the game 2-0 and the series 3 games to 0.

It's now 2-2 in the game headed into the 3rd.

And it's totally conincdental that I tweated out my hope that the Islanders could win the Cup if no Canadian teams were going

to.

Nothing's decided yet but the the Canadian teams have lost all the games since they were perfect on Friday.

Crap.

That fact though did not stop me from tweeting some Habsitivty out into the Universe by declaring a 4-0 Habs win, with the scorers named.

What's the worst that can happen if I am wrong and they lose?

Some Flyers' fan or hater mocks me?

Oh I'm scared.

At the end of this series, the habs still have 24 Stnaley Cups and the other franchises have far fewer.

Though the Leafs are the closest with 13 and the Red Wings have 11.

Oh noes.

The Capitals have just scored to take their first lead of the game.

Ovechkin has two of the three goals tonight for the wrong team as I've thrown in behind the Islanders for this matchup.

Yes, yes, yes, in Game 4.

What of it? I didn't care about them winning the Cup before tonight. I surely don't want the Bruins, Flyers, Blues or Avs to win the Cup.

Boo!” I jumped and held onto the chandelier as my heart beated a mile a minute for a few seconds. I looked down and there she was, my fourth subscriber, waving up at me with the welcome smile of a subscriber. She is the 4th most bold and first Canadian.

The Internationals are up 3-1.

Let's go Canada! Are we going to let the internationals out subscribe us?

Oh, we will.

Okay.

It's nice to have a Canadian subscriber finally. And the second subcriber of the day.

They're all still women.

So at Lake October, it's the women who are bravest. Are you going to let that stand men?

Thanks for subscribing boo, you scared me in the best of ways.

Now where are the other 9996 subscribers I dreamed of having by the time I turn 50, which is right around the corner.

Okay, that's not going to happen is it? At least not in the 2020's right?

Hey, the Blackhawks scored on the Golden Knights!

It's win or go home for the Blackhawks, the same as it was for the Capitals.

I was ready for the Caps to lose but want to the Blackhawks to bounce the Golden Knights out because reasons.

Yeah, I don't like the now newest team on the block. And Golden wasn't needed.

It's now 2-0 Blackhawks!

Ugh

It's 2-1 now.

Max Pacioretty, a former Hab got the Golden Knights on the scoresheet.

Go 'Hawks go.

And now they'll lose right?

Well, it's in the second and the Blackhawks are still leading.

Only it's 3-2.

And the day is id down to the final minutes.

I'm going to stop here.

Kuuanonni.
