Suddenly
Mere inches before
I hit the ground beneath me
I stopped but still
As my own good will
Or power of my mind
Had formed a protective bubble
Around myself
And kept me safe
Now this was more but like it
Though I must admit
That I was annoyed indeed
That it had taken me as long as it had
To develop my power
But this was surely a case
Of better late than never
As I did not know
What would have happened
If I'd hit the ground
As hard as I surely would have
Yeah it's a dream of course
But who needs the pain
That I would have felt
If my power hadn't kicked but in
And saved me yes
From misery's reach
Now sadly sigh
I'm only a superhuman man
Inside a dream
So I'm still but limited yes
By the realities of being
A human prisoner
In an alien prison
All because
I offended a royal family
On said distant world
But at least I had me something
To look but forward to
Come the night
If I could dream like this
But more than now
This one good time
Though good was only the ending
As being suspended
From high above the ground
Was no fun at all
I smiled then
And thought it best
To use what time
That I had left
Before I woke
From this sweet good dream
And practice in their use
